- Network runs on major carriers, includes telehealth and international calling
On June 16, 2025, Reuters reported the Trump Organization’s bold entry into the telecom market with "Trump Mobile," a company aiming to attract conservative consumers with US-made smartphones and 5G service. Donald Trump Jr. revealed details about the venture at a press conference at Trump Tower in New York.
The announcement detailed the launch of "T1 Mobile," a wireless service branding itself as an alternative to major telecom providers, which will use networks from Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile for coverage. Its flagship plan, "The 47 Plan," costs $47.45 per month and provides unlimited talk, text, and data on 5G networks. In addition, this plan includes services such as device protection, 24/7 roadside assistance, telehealth services, and free international calls to over 100 countries. T1 Mobile markets the service as requiring no contract or credit check, while also promising U.S.-based call centers and American-made phones.
The associated smartphone, the "T1 Phone," will be available in August for $499. This gold-colored Android phone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera, 12GB RAM, and 256GB of expandable storage, and it runs on Android 15. The company states these devices are designed and built in the United States.
Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump managed the announcement. On June 16, a press release from TrumpMobile.com emphasized that T1 Mobile LLC uses the "Trump" trademark under a limited license agreement with DTTM Operations, which manages President Trump's trademarks. This entity has also filed applications to use "Trump" and "T1" for telecom-related services.
The launch of Trump Mobile signifies the Trump family's continued effort to diversify into new sectors, following previous entries into digital media and cryptocurrency. Moreover, the announcement coincided with the 10-year anniversary of Donald Trump's first presidential campaign launch.
On June 16, CoinMarketCap reported that as of 12:00 UTC, Ethereum (ETH) was trading at $2,765. The platform also noted that its 24-hour trading volume had increased by 1.5%.
