- 10-year UAE residency offered for a $100,000 Toncoin stake and a $35,000 fee, with visa coverage for immediate family.
- Toncoin’s price surged over 10% following the news, although the program awaits official UAE government confirmation.
On July 6, 2025, The Block, Cointelegraph, and DL News reported on a new program from the TON Foundation that allows investors to obtain a 10-year UAE "Golden Visa." To qualify, participants must stake $100,000 worth of Toncoin (TON) for three years and pay a $35,000 processing fee. The visa also extends to the applicant's immediate family members.
This initiative provides an alternative to the UAE's standard Golden Visa, which typically requires a $540,000 investment in real estate or other assets. Investors who join the program receive an annual percentage yield of approximately 3-4% during the staking period, and at the end of the three years, the staked Toncoin is unlocked. The TON Foundation states its UAE-based partners will handle document submissions and promises approvals within seven weeks.
While the TON Foundation emphasized its compliance with official UAE immigration regulations, the UAE government has not yet formally verified the program. This lack of official confirmation has sparked doubts within the cryptocurrency community. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, for instance, highlighted the absence of direct governmental confirmation and pointed to the initiative's ambiguous details.
Following the announcement, Toncoin’s price climbed over 10%, reflecting an optimistic market response. According to market data, Toncoin (TON) traded at $2.916 as of 18:09 UTC on July 6, while its 24-hour trading volume increased by 5.841%. This development showcases a growing effort to integrate cryptocurrency with mainstream financial systems and offers innovative routes for global investment and residency.
