- LetsBONK surpasses Pump.fun in daily token launches and trading volume.
- BONK token surges 22% following platform’s market share gains.
On July 7, 2025, LetsBONK dethroned Pump.fun as the leading memecoin platform on the Solana blockchain, marking a significant shift in market dynamics. According to a report from The Block on the same day, LetsBONK facilitated 15,600 token launches in 24 hours. This figure outpaced Pump.fun’s 11,500 launches, allowing LetsBONK to claim a larger market share in trading volume.
LetsBONK captured 49.80% of the 24-hour trading volume market share, representing approximately $86 million more than Pump.fun, which held 40.90%. Although Pump.fun retained a larger number of active traders, LetsBONK’s performance underscores its growing dominance.
In addition, on July 5, LetsBONK advanced 135 tokens to higher levels within its system, compared to Pump.fun’s 103, an uptick in activity that further establishes its position as Solana’s premier platform for launching memecoins.
Launched in April 2025, LetsBONK features a unique revenue-burning model that directly impacts the BONK memecoin. The platform allocates half of its fee revenue to buying and burning BONK tokens, a process that reduces supply and enhances scarcity. As a result, this mechanism drove the BONK token’s 22% price increase within 24 hours of LetsBONK’s market share ascent.
To maintain user engagement and drive innovation, the platform is also investing in its ecosystem, as exemplified by a recently concluded hackathon with a $200,000 prize pool. Furthermore, the success of Useless Coin, the largest memecoin launched on LetsBONK with a market capitalization of approximately $264 million, further validates the platform's impact.
Meanwhile, Pump.fun, the dominant player in the Solana memecoin space since January 2024, is actively working to reclaim its position. To counter rising competitive pressures, it has announced plans for an initial coin offering (ICO) to raise $1 billion and is also exploring revenue-sharing opportunities for its token holders.
According to CoinMarketCap, as of 02:08 UTC on July 7, Solana (SOL) was trading at $151.58, a 2.79% increase over the previous 24 hours. During the same period, the price of BONK (BONK) was reported at $0.00, reflecting a price change of 13.36%.
